Rimu told her mum that she had been ill. Then the mother asked her how she (R) was that day. Mita replied that two snatchers had attacked her the previous night. The police officer asked if they had snatched anything from her. Addressing the police officer as sir Mita replied that they had taken away her cell phone and some money. The police officer requested that he (P) might record a complaint.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>5.<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cRana, have you done your English lesson today?\u201d asked the teacher. \u201cYes, sir\u201d he replied. \u201cBut I haven\u2019t understood one grammatical point. The teacher assured him saying that he would help him (R) to understand the point. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>6. <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ratul said to me, \u201cWhere are you going now?\u201d \u201cI am going to the stadium to watch a cricket match. Do you want to go with me?\u201d said I. You are not attentive to your lessons.\u201d The boy said, \u201cSir, I am sorry. He (T) also said he (B) was not attentive to his (B) lessons. The boy replied respectfully that he (B) was sorry. He (B) added that he (B) had been asking for a pen from his (B) friend. The teacher advised him (B) to be attentive and listen to him (T) carefully.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>8. <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhat do you take as lunch in school, Shafiq?\u201d Shafin said. \u201cI always take junk food. Shafiq replied that he (Shafiq) always took junk food. He (Shafiq) asked Shafin if he (Shafin) did not like that at all. Shafin replied in the negative. Shafiq asked him (Shafin) why he (Shafin) did not like it. Shafin replied that he (Shafin) did not like it because it did not contain any food value. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>9. <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>My friend said to me, \u201cWhy are you reading this hour? It is time for prayer. Let us go out for a walk after saying prayer.\u201d \u201cYes, I am agree with you,\u201d I said.&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"\u201dlinks9\u201d-link-170\" class=\"sh-link \u201dlinks9\u201d-link sh-hide\"><a href=\"#\" onclick=\"showhide_toggle('\u201dlinks9\u201d', 170, 'Show_Answer', 'Hide_Answer'); return false;\" aria-expanded=\"false\"><span id=\"\u201dlinks9\u201d-toggle-170\">Show_Answer<\/span><\/a><\/div><div id=\"\u201dlinks9\u201d-content-170\" class=\"sh-content \u201dlinks9\u201d-content sh-hide\" style=\"display: none;\"> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> My friend asked me why I was reading that hour. He added that it was time for prayer. He proposed that we should go out for a walk after saying prayer. I replied in the affirmative and said that I was agree with him.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>10. <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Mother said to Samia, \u201cWhat are\nyou doing now?\u201d \u201cI am watching television mother,\u201d Samia replied. \u201cHave you\nprepared your lesson?\u201d \u201cYes, mother.\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s late at night. Then she (M) advised her (S) to go to bed.&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>11.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cGood morning\u201d, said the tourist. \u201cDo you have any room vacant?\u201d \u201cYes, sir, double or single?\u201d \u201cI want one single\u201d, said the tourist. The receptionist said, \u201cWe have a single room on the second floor\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"\u201dlinks11\u201d-link-170\" class=\"sh-link \u201dlinks11\u201d-link sh-hide\"><a href=\"#\" onclick=\"showhide_toggle('\u201dlinks11\u201d', 170, 'Show_Answer', 'Hide_Answer'); return false;\" aria-expanded=\"false\"><span id=\"\u201dlinks11\u201d-toggle-170\">Show_Answer<\/span><\/a><\/div><div id=\"\u201dlinks11\u201d-content-170\" class=\"sh-content \u201dlinks11\u201d-content sh-hide\" style=\"display: none;\">\n\n\n\n<p>The tourist wished the receptionist good morning and asked if the\/they had any room vacant. Addressing as sir, the receptionist replied in the affirmative and wanted to know whether he wanted double or single room. The tourist replied that he wanted one single. The receptionist said that they had a single room on the second floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>12.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhat is the time by your watch?\u201d he said. \u201cIt is half past nine, \u201cI said. He said, \u201cI want to go to the school. Would you accompany me, please? The personnel in the inquiry booth said that Flight BG 006 had taken off just then and added that his ticket was for Flight BG 008.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>14.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The boy said to the teacher, \u201cSir, I shall be much obliged if you will kindly lend me the book you praised highly in the classroom yesterday.\u201d The teacher said, \u201cI am very glad to know that you are eager to read this book. The piper replied in the affirmative that he had and requested to give him (P) the promised money. Sabina proposed that they should find him (Arif) out. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>17.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Suddenly a voice called out, \u201cGood morning, gentlemen. Where are you going and what are you doing here?\u201d \u201cOh, nowhere and nothing,\u201d \u201cYou look so pensive (\u099a\u09bf\u09a8\u09cd\u09a4\u09bf\u09a4), why?\u201d \u201cYes, you are right. The six blind men replied that they were going nowhere and doing nothing. The voice asked why they looked so pensive. They replied in the affirmative that he was right and added that they were looking for something. Then they addressed the voice as sir and asked who he was. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(Note: those who get struggled with the last line to identify the speaker, here is a point- \u201csir\u201d can be addressed to a singular person, not plural.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>18.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe would like to go to an excursion (\u09aa\u09cd\u09b0\u09ae\u09cb\u09a6\u09ad\u09cd\u09b0\u09ae\u09a3). Can we have permission, madam?\u201d said the students. \u201cYes, you can arrange it after the examination is over.
