Suddenly a voice called out, “Good morning, gentlemen. Where are you going and what are you doing here?” “Oh, nowhere and nothing” “You look so pensive, why?” “Yes, you are right. We are looking for something,” replied the six blind men. “Who are you, sir?”
Suddenly a voice addressed the six blind men as gentlemen and wished good morning to them and also asked where they were going and what they were doing there. The six blind men exclaimed and told that they were going nowhere and doing nothing. The voice asked why they looked so pensive. They replied in the affirmative that he was right and added that they were looking for something. Then they addressed them as sir and asked who he was.

The teacher said to the boy, “Do you think that honesty is the best policy?” The boy said, “Yes, I think so.” “Then learn to be honest from boyhood,” said the teacher. “Thank you, sir,” said the boy. “May Allah grant you a long life,” said the teacher to the boy.
The teacher asked the boy if he (B) thought honesty is the best policy. The boy replied respectfully in the affirmative and said that he (B) thought so. Then the teacher advised him (B) to learn to be honest from his (B) boyhood. The boy thanked his (B) teacher politely. The teacher wished that Allah might grant him (B) a long life.

My mother said, “Won’t you go to school today?” I said, “Mother, I feel feverish today. I don’t want to go to school.” ‘Ok, take rest now. You should be more careful about your health” said mother.
My mother asked me if I wouldn’t go to school that day. Addressing her as mother I replied that I felt feverish that day. I added that I didn’t want to go to school. Then my mother told me that it was ok. She advised me to take rest then. She also said that I would be more careful about my health.

“Dear friend, which book do you want?” “‘A Practical English Grammar’ of A. J. Thompson. I lost my copy yesterday.” said Oishe. “I can lend you but return it in a week,” I said.
Addressing Oishe as dear friend, I asked her which book she wanted. Oishe replied that it was ‘A practical English Grammar’ of A. J. Thompson. She added that she had lost her copy the previous day. I said that I could lend her. But I added that she should return it in a week.

“How lovely the doll is!” I’ll buy it,” said Mona. “No, it is not durable. Tomorrow we’ll visit another village fair. Then you can buy another doll. Let’s go now,” said mother. “You must buy me a good doll,” said Mona. “Yes”, replied mother.
Mona exclaimed with wonder that the doll was very lovely. She (Mona) added that she (Mona) would buy that. Mother replied the negative and said that it was not durable. She (mother) added that next day they would visit another village fair. She (mother) again said that she (Mona) could buy another doll then. After that mother proposed/suggested that they should go then. Mona said that she (mother) had to buy her (Mona) a good doll. Mother replied in the affirmative.

“Why are you looking so happy?” Dipa said to Rupali. “My brother sent a mobile phone for me yesterday,” replied Rupali. “But what’s the use of it to you? I think it is a mere wastage of money,” said Dipa. “No, I can communicate with others in the shortest possible time,” said Rupali.
Dipa asked Rupali why she (R) was looking so happy. Rupali replied that her (R) brother had sent a mobile phone for her (R) the previous day. But Dipa asked what the use of it was to her (R). She (D) also said that she (D) thought it was a mere wastage of money. Rupali replied in the negative that she (R) could communicate with others in the shortest possible time.

“Why did you not go to school yesterday, Rimu?” asked the mother. “I was ill, mum.” “How are you today?” “Well,” answered the girl. Don’t worry for me.”
The mother asked Rimu why she (R) had not gone to school the previous day. Addressing her (m) as mum she (R) replied that she (R) had been ill. The mother again asked her (R) how she (R) was that day. The girl replied that she (R) well. She (R) also said her (m) not to worry for her (R).

“What’s your programme after the examination?” Asked Hira. Mira said, “I’ve not decided. Can you suggest any?” “Let us go on a picnic” said Hira. “What an excellent idea it is! Said Mira.
Hira asked Mira what her (M) programme was after the examination. Mira replied that she (M) hadn’t decided. She (M) also asked if she (H) could suggest any ideas. Hira proposed that they should go on a picnic together. Mira exclaimed with joy that it was a very excellent idea.

The stranger said to the boy, “Can you tell me the way to the nearest hotel?” “Yes, sir, I can. Do you want a residential one in which you can spend the night?” said the boy. “I do not want to stay there but I only want a meal,” replied the man.
The stranger asked the boy if he (B) could tell him (S) the way to the nearest hotel. The boy replied respectfully in the affirmative that he (B) could. He (B) also asked if he (S) wanted a residential one in which he (S) could spend the night. The man replied that he (S) did not want to stay there but he (S) only wanted a meal.

Mrs. Nasima said to her student, “I heard the news of your illness yesterday. How are you now?” “I feel a bit well today, madam” replied the student. “Don’t worry. You will come round soon” said Mrs. Nasima.
Mrs. Nasima told her student that she had heard the news of his illness the previous day. She also asked how he was then. Addressing her as madam, the student replied that he felt a bit well that day. Mrs. Nasima told him not to worry. She also wished that he would come round soon.
